This website provides some basic information about myself. On this page a brief overview about my educcatiom and skills. Under the menu item About Me you find my CV in both English and German. Projects presents a list of my projects as a self-employed software developer, again in English and German.

Most of my professional career I spent as a research scientist in academic and industrial research in the field of protein crystallography, involved in experimental, theoretical and computational aspects of the field. My most important contribution was to the development and first succeessful application of a technology called multi-wavelength anomalous diffraction.

I have lived and worked in five countries on three continents, Germany, USA, Japan, Austria and Czechia. My personal interest are astronomy, chess and travel. My professional interests are high-perfomance computing with graphic chips using CUDA or OpenCL, data visualization and image processing. My favorite programming language by far is Python.
